July 25, Houston, Texas -ADCC (Abu Dhabi Combat Club) Regionals (Submission Fighting) - 3rd place.I was born in St.Petersburg , Russia (then Leningrad, USSR). My Dad was a Russian Sambo champ. I watched him train his younger brothers, and I knew then I wanted to fight. My introduction to combat sports was through Olympic Judo.In 1998 I moved to Dallas, Texas. Here I trained in WTF Tae Kwon Do and achieved second dan within several years. Later, I continued training in kickboxing, JKD and FMA, looking to supplement law enforcement defensive tactics training.
Currently I am training in Judo (again), riding (horses) and polo.
